Nor would I send them a single dollar in referred business. However, it is my understanding that since Salsa's parent company is QBP, which is a huge bicycle dealership, any shop that orders parts from QBP can also get Salsa complete bikes. They are like the Surly brand in that regard. But you probably won't see any sitting out on the shop floor, since they're not a very popular brand. Call up a couple of your favorite shops and ask them 1) if they order from or use QBP as a parts distributor and 2) if they can get any bike from the QBP catalog. If they answer yes, they should be able to get you any model of either Salsa or Surly, provided they haven't sold out nationwide.
